How Van Belle grew from a small-scale dealer to a top class player in the Belux
For many years, we’ve served satisfied customers with our range of high-quality woodwork equipment all over Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. We’ve chosen consciously to specialise in a limited number of trademarks so that we can provide the highest level of quality and service for our customers. We’ve sold the German top class make Weinig for over 45 years. To assist you with grinding, we’ve added the Swiss Kündig to our range. This make stands for high-quality sanding machines. Moreover, we’ve also added the sale of the traditional machines from Panhans Hokubema to our assortment. These include surface and thickness planing machines, panel saws, and spinning tops. Since 2008, we’ve been the exclusive dealer of Weima in Belgium. This German manufacturers is renowned for its briquetting presses and waste wood shredders. We set high quality standards for all our makes and machines. For Van Belle NV, this promise is the start of a valuable partnership with all our customers.
1971
The start: Jean Van Belle
Jean Van Belle, founder of the enterprise, sells his first Weinig four-sided planing machine. The start of a strong and beautiful adventure which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2021.
1995
Continuation activities by Rudy Van Belle
Rudy takes over Van Belle NV and becomes its new manager at the age of 29. He provides a breath of fresh air in the company and expands the business.
2000
Friulmac
The assortment continues to expand. Van Belle becomes the exclusive dealer for Friulmac in Belgium. The first exclusive partnership with an Italian machine builder. The focus on quality remains a priority.
2001
Panhans Hokubema
One year later, customers witness another new offspring in the Van Belle family. The German machine producer Panhans Hokubema is added to the portfolio.
2001
Kündig
Van Belle continues to enjoy growing success and in the same year enters into an exclusive partnership with Kündig. This Swiss top make produces broad belt and edge sanding machines of superior quality. The Van Belle NV range expands further.
2008
Weima
A few years later, Van Belle decides to expand its range and appeal to an even broader target group. For that reason they enter into an exclusive partnership with the German company Weima. They specialise in the production of machines for processing and shredding all your waste wood.
2021
New corporate identity
After almost 30 years under the leadership of Rudy Van Belle, the company plans to refine its corporate identity. To achieve this, they opt for a new web site and corporate identity. They enter into partnership with Gill Steens to give everything a vibrant and modern look.
