The solid yet compact PANHANS thicknesser with a planing width of 630 mm has already impressed countless joiners, carpenters and woodworkers around the world with its precise, reliable and durable operation. This is partly due to the maintenance-free bearing design with high-quality precision ball bearings.
The robust steel construction and dynamically balanced planer shaft of the thicknesser, together with the powerful 7.5 kW motor, ensure extremely smooth and quiet operation, even at high loads.
As an option, the machine can be equipped with a spiral blade planing spindle with 4 carbide indexable inserts, making the tool last longer and run even smoother thanks to the "draw cut".
Oscillating input and output rollers and segmented pressure bars guarantee smooth transport of workpieces to be planed on the 1620 mm long thicknesser. It has a finely planed surface made of solid gray cast iron, whose air cushion effect prevents workpieces from sticking to the table top.
The feed side contains a control panel with all the important functional elements for starting/stopping the planer shaft and feed, and for releasing the motor brake. Above the control panel is the newly developed touch screen for adjusting the height of the thicknesser, displaying feed rate and status messages, and setting operating parameters.
The machine comes standard with effective kickback protection and all necessary safety equipment.
The proven PANHANS thicknesser can be optionally expanded with various table extensions and other specific components.
